4. The brand, Reformation, released its new line of sustainable swimwear this spring. While it stated that its swimsuits were made from recycled plastics, it just as quickly admitted that its product was far from perfect. When synthetic material is washed, it releases small pieces of plastic into the water, which eventually finds its way to the ocean.
